Celebration is a key L’Arche tradition. From birthdays, casual get-togethers and traditional holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving, to global or regional traditions such as International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebration allows us to strengthen our bonds with one another, and with the wider community. We hope you can join us for some of the following celebrations.


Day Program Hot Lunch every second Friday

Prayer Night

We come together to pray in our different spiritual traditions on the first Monday of every month at 4:30pm. This takes place at the L’Arche Centre, 10310 56 Street. You are welcome to join us. Foot washing

An important L’Arche tradition that honors Jesus washing the feet of his disciples and encourages us all to be servant leaders is the Celebration of Foot Washing.


Good Friday

We join other Christian communities to walk the Way of the Cross in Downtown Edmonton. This is a public event where we remembering Jesus’s journey to the cross through visiting places that commemorate people suffering and in need of justice. We are often asked to animate a station and carry the cross.


Annual Easter Luncheon

In the morning they are Church Services in all Christian churches. We would have a special breakfast which would include such things as Easter Bread, Hot Crossed Buns, Bacon and Eggs, etc.
